Possible Causes
Failed door switch, Blown thermal fuse, Defective motor relay on PCB, Faulty drive motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dryer before testing components.
- Confirm door closed: Ensure the door is fully latched and door switch operates (interior light off when door closed on some models).
- Check child lock: Make sure child lock is not enabled (refer to user manual for key combination).
- Test thermal fuse: Locate and test the thermal fuse for continuity. Replace if open and correct vent issues.
- Listen for relay click: When pressing Start, listen for a click from the control board. No click may indicate a PCB relay issue.
- Test motor: Access the drive motor and test windings for continuity. Replace the drive motor if open or seized.
