Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked exhaust vent, Lint buildup in blower housing, Weak blower motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing ducts or panels.
- Clean lint filter: Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, including washing if coated with residue.
- Inspect and clean vent: Disconnect the vent hose and run a test load venting into a safe area. If drying improves, the house vent is restricted and must be cleaned or replaced.
- Clean internal ducts: Remove front or rear panels and vacuum lint from the blower housing and internal ducts.
- Check blower wheel: Ensure the blower wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not clogged with lint. Replace the blower wheel if cracked or loose.
