Dryer will not start or stops; display shows dE; sometimes intermittent when door is bumped.

Safety: Unplug the dryer before inspection.

• Check for play in the door: Wiggle the door while closed. Excessive movement can cause intermittent contact. Tighten hinges and replace worn latch/strike.
• Inspect switch mounting: Access the door switch and verify it is firmly mounted. Tighten screws if loose.
• Clean contacts: Disconnect the switch connector and inspect for oxidation. Clean with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect firmly.
• Test switch: Use a multimeter to check for stable continuity when the door is closed. If readings are unstable, replace the door switch assembly.
