How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before disassembling the cabinet.
- Localize the noise: Run the dryer briefly and listen from front and back to identify the noise source, then unplug.
- Inspect drum supports: Remove the front panel to access front felt and support rollers. Replace rollers that are flat-spotted, noisy, or seized.
- Check rear bearing: On models with a rear drum bearing, remove the drum and inspect the bearing and support. Replace if worn or dry; apply high-temperature lubricant if specified by Siemens.
- Inspect idler pulley: Check the idler pulley for smooth rotation. Replace if noisy or wobbling.
- Remove foreign objects: Look for coins, bra wires, or other items caught at the front drum edge and remove them.
