Possible Causes
Defective user interface PCB, Stuck or damaged Start/Pause button, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main control, Faulty main control module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains power before opening the control panel.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button on the Siemens control panel several times. If any button feels stuck or does not click, gently clean around it with a soft cloth. Avoid liquids directly on the panel.
- Power reset: Turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the dryer for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and test. This can clear temporary interface glitches.
- Inspect control panel connections: Remove the top cover and control panel (refer to your model’s service manual). Check the ribbon cable and connectors between the user interface board and the main control module. Reseat all plugs firmly.
- Visual inspection of UI PCB: Look for burn marks, corrosion, or cracked solder joints on the user interface board. If damage is visible, replace the UI PCB.
- Further diagnosis: If E02 persists with good connections and no visible damage, the main control module may be defective. Professional testing is advised.
