Dryer shows E08 and may not heat; often on heat pump models

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Heat pump systems are sealed and contain high-pressure refrigerant; do not open the sealed circuit yourself.

• Clean air paths: Remove and clean all lint filters. Access and gently vacuum dust from the evaporator and condenser fins (behind the condenser flap) without bending them.
• Check internal fan: Listen during operation for the internal circulation fan. If the fan does not run or makes scraping noises, inspect and replace the fan motor if necessary.
• Ventilation around appliance: Ensure the Siemens heat pump dryer has adequate clearance around it for air intake and exhaust as per the installation manual.
• Observe heating behavior: Run a timed warm program and check if the drum air warms up after several minutes. If not, and E08 persists, the compressor or refrigerant circuit may be faulty.
• Professional service: Compressor and refrigerant issues require certified refrigeration technicians. Do not attempt to open or recharge the sealed system yourself.
