Dryer displays E10 and may not start or may stop unexpectedly

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and verify the dryer is de-energized before opening the terminal cover.

• Verify supply voltage: Ensure the dryer is connected to the correct voltage as specified on the Siemens rating plate. Use a multimeter to confirm stable voltage at the outlet.
• Inspect mains cable and plug: Check for damage, overheating, or discoloration. Replace a damaged cable or plug immediately.
• Check terminal block: Open the rear terminal cover and inspect the connection screws. Tighten any loose terminals and look for signs of arcing or melting.
• Examine mains filter: The EMI filter is usually near the mains entry. Look for bulging capacitors or burnt components. Replace the filter if damaged.
• Control board power section: If external wiring is sound, the internal low-voltage power supply on the control board may be defective. Replacement of the control module is typically required.
