Possible Causes
Loose wiring harness between user interface and power module, Faulty communication bus on main control, Defective user interface PCB, Electrical noise or surge damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control electronics.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to clear transient communication errors, then reconnect and test.
- Inspect harness connections: Remove the top cover and access both the user interface board and the power module. Reseat all multi-pin connectors between the boards.
- Check for damage: Look for burnt components, corrosion, or moisture on both boards. If any board shows visible damage, it should be replaced.
- Test with minimal loads: Ensure the dryer is on a dedicated circuit without heavy inductive loads (like welders) that can cause interference.
- Board replacement: If E14 persists after reseating connectors, one of the boards is likely defective. Replace the user interface first, then the power module if needed.
