Possible Causes

Leaking condensate hose or pump, Cracked water tank or sump, Loose hose clamp inside cabinet, Activated base tray float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water inside the base can contact live parts.

  • Check for visible leaks: Pull the dryer out and inspect underneath and behind for water traces.
  • Remove side or front panel: Access the base tray area. If water is present, carefully soak it up with towels or a sponge.
  • Inspect hoses and joints: Follow the condensate path from the drum to the sump, pump, and tank. Tighten any loose hose clamps and replace cracked hoses.
  • Check pump and sump: Look for cracks in the pump housing or sump. Replace any damaged plastic components.
  • Reset float switch: Once the base is dry and the leak is fixed, the float switch will reset. Reassemble and test for further leaks during a short cycle.
