Possible Causes
Burnt-out drum light bulb or LED, Faulty door switch contact for light, Loose light socket connection, Control board not supplying light power
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before replacing the light or accessing the door switch.
- Replace bulb/LED module: Locate the drum light cover inside the drum. Remove the cover and replace the bulb or LED module with the correct SMEG-specified part.
- Check door switch: If the new light does not work, test the door switch contact that controls the light. Replace the door switch if it does not close when the door is opened.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the light socket wiring is intact and firmly connected.
- Control board output: If all else is good, the control board's light output may have failed. Replacement of the board is required if the light function is essential.
