Possible Causes

Full water tank not emptied, Blocked condensate drain channel, Failed condensate pump (heat pump or condenser models with pump), Faulty water level float switch or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing panels or accessing the pump area. Water and electricity are a hazardous combination.

  • Empty water tank: Remove the condensate water tank and empty it completely. Rinse to remove detergent residue, then reinstall fully until it clicks into place.
  • Clean drain channel: Open the lower front flap (if present) and inspect the condensate channel and filter. Remove lint, fluff, and debris that may block water flow.
  • Check float and sensor: In the water tank compartment, locate the float mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by scale or dirt. Clean and dry the area.
  • Inspect condensate pump (if equipped): Access the pump from the rear or bottom panel. Check for obstructions in the pump housing and hoses. If the pump hums but does not move water, or is silent and tests open on a multimeter, replace the condensate pump.
  • Reset and test: After cleaning and reassembly, reconnect power and run a short cycle to confirm the error is cleared.
