Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Misaligned door strike, Intermittent door switch contacts, Loose door lock wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting the door lock or removing the front panel.
- Verify door closure: Ensure the door is firmly closed and that the latch engages with an audible click. Remove any obstructions around the door seal.
- Inspect door strike: Check the metal or plastic strike on the cabinet for bending or looseness. Adjust or replace if it does not align with the door lock.
- Check door switch/lock: Access the door lock assembly from the front panel edge. Inspect for broken plastic, burnt contacts, or loose mounting screws. Replace the door lock if damaged.
- Secure wiring: Reseat the connector at the door lock and at the main control board. Ensure wires are not pinched by the cabinet.
- Test operation: Reassemble and run a cycle, gently pressing on the door to see if the error reappears. If pressing on the door affects the fault, further adjust or replace the lock/strike.
