Dryer control panel buttons are unresponsive or intermittent

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control console.

• Check for control lock: Ensure the control lock feature is not enabled.
• Inspect panel for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or spills. Allow the panel to dry completely.
• Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the UI and main board.
• Test specific buttons: If only certain buttons fail, the membrane or touchpad is likely worn and the UI board should be replaced.
