Dryer powers on but will not start when Start button is pressed

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before opening the control console.

• Check control lock: Look for a control lock icon on the display. Disable it using the key combination in the user manual.
• Verify door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Test if the drum light goes off when the door is closed (if equipped).
• Test door switch: Access the door switch and test for continuity when the door is closed. Replace if faulty.
• Inspect Start button: On mechanical models, test the push-to-start switch for continuity when pressed. On electronic models, check the touchpad or button board for proper operation.
• Motor relay: If all switches test good, the motor relay on the control board may be defective and require board replacement.
