Dryer shows E13 and will not start, sometimes after moving or installing the dryer

Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting hinges or latches.

• Inspect door alignment: Check that the door sits evenly in the opening and that the gap is uniform. If the door sags, the hinge screws may be loose.
• Tighten hinges: Open the door and tighten the hinge screws on both the door and cabinet side. Gently lift the door while tightening to correct sag.
• Adjust door strike: Loosen the screws holding the door strike and adjust its position so it fully engages the door switch when closed. Retighten screws.
• Check door gasket: Inspect the door seal for deformation or foreign objects. Clean and reseat the gasket if necessary.
• Test operation: Restore power and close the door firmly. If E13 persists, test the door switch electrically and replace if defective.
