Possible Causes
Incorrect power cord connection, Missing neutral or hot leg, Tripped double-pole breaker, Loose terminal block connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and verify with a meter that the dryer is de-energized before opening the terminal block cover.
- Check the breaker: Ensure the 240V double-pole breaker is fully on and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect the power cord connection: Remove the rear terminal block cover. Verify that the cord is wired according to the Stoves installation diagram (L1, L2, Neutral, and ground correctly placed).
- Tighten terminals: Check for loose screws or signs of arcing at the terminal block. Tighten all connections securely. Replace any burnt lugs or damaged terminal blocks.
- Measure voltage: With a qualified person and proper meter, verify 240V across L1 and L2, and 120V from each hot leg to neutral (where applicable).
- If wiring is correct and E15 persists: The main control board may be misreading line voltage and require replacement. This should be confirmed by a technician.
