Gas dryer runs but does not heat (no error code), igniter may glow briefly or not at all

Safety first: Turn off gas at the shutoff valve and unplug the dryer. If you smell gas, ventilate the area and do not operate electrical switches.

• Check gas supply: Ensure the gas shutoff valve is fully open and that other gas appliances in the home are working.
• Observe ignition (if safe): Restore gas and power briefly, start a cycle, and watch the burner through the viewing port. Note whether the igniter glows and whether a flame appears.
• If igniter does not glow: Disconnect power again, access the burner, and test the igniter for continuity. Replace if open.
• If igniter glows but no flame: The gas valve coils are likely weak. Replace the coil set as a pair.
• If flame lights then goes out quickly: Test the flame sensor for proper operation and replace if defective.
