Dryer door will not open at the end of the cycle; door appears stuck closed

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dryer. Allow it to cool for several minutes before attempting to force the door.

• Wait for cool-down: Some models keep the door locked briefly after the cycle ends. Wait 5–10 minutes and try again.
• Gentle pressure: Press the door inward while operating the handle to relieve pressure on the latch.
• Check for obstructions: Look through the door glass for clothing jammed in the door area. Gently pull fabric away if possible.
• Manual release (if available): Consult the user manual for a manual door release. This may be accessible through the filter opening or lower panel.
• Inspect and replace lock: Once opened and unplugged, remove the front panel and inspect the door lock assembly and latch. Replace damaged parts and realign the door.
