Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off motor pulley, Worn idler pulley, Overloaded drum causing belt damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before removing panels.
- Check drum by hand: With the door open and dryer unplugged, try to rotate the drum. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt may be broken or off.
- Access belt: Remove the top cover and rear panel to inspect the belt around the drum and motor pulley.
- Replace belt: If the belt is broken or heavily worn, remove it and install a new Teka-compatible drive belt, routing it around the drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley as per the service diagram.
- Inspect idler pulley: Check that the idler pulley spins freely and is not seized or noisy. Replace if worn to prevent premature belt failure.
- Reassemble and test: Refit panels, reconnect power, and run a short cycle to confirm the drum now rotates normally.
