How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure good room ventilation when running the dryer for the first time or after long storage.
- Run empty cycle: Run the dryer empty on a high heat setting for 30–60 minutes to burn off residues.
- Ventilate area: Open windows or use an extractor fan to disperse odors.
- Inspect if persistent: If the smell is strong, acrid, or persists after several cycles, unplug the dryer and inspect for burnt wiring or components. Contact service if any damage is found.
