Teka Excessive Creasing / Drum Reversal or Cool-Down Issue

Dryer runs but clothes come out very wrinkled and creased

Advertisements

Possible Causes

Drum not reversing (if designed to), Cool-down phase not operating, Overloading, Leaving clothes in drum after cycle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before internal inspection.

  • Adjust load size: Do not overload the drum. Leave enough space for clothes to tumble freely.
  • Remove promptly: Take clothes out immediately after the cycle ends to prevent setting of creases.
  • Check drum reversal: Observe whether the drum changes direction periodically during the cycle (on models that support this). If not, the motor or control may be at fault.
  • Verify cool-down: At the end of the cycle, the dryer should run with cool air for a short period. If it stops abruptly while still hot, check the control board and temperature sensors.
