Possible Causes
Open heating element, Tripped thermal cut-out, Faulty thermostat, Broken heater wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Teka dryer and let it cool completely before working near the heater.
- Verify settings: Ensure you have not selected an air-only or cool program. Confirm that the temperature setting is not on the lowest/cool option.
- Clean filters and ducts: Remove and clean the lint filter and, if applicable, the condenser unit. Blocked airflow can cause overheating and trip safety devices.
- Access heater assembly: Remove the rear panel to access the heater housing. Inspect for burnt marks or broken heater coils.
- Test heater and thermostats: Disconnect the heater and thermostats and measure continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open components with Teka-compatible parts.
- Inspect wiring: Check all heater-related connectors and wires for burns or loose contacts. Repair or replace as needed.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing faulty parts, reassemble and run a warm program. If there is still no heat, the control board heater relay may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
