Possible Causes

Defective door switch, Broken or misaligned door latch hook, Damaged door lock wiring harness, Failed main control board input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Teka dryer from the mains before any disassembly. Do not bypass safety switches for normal use.

  • Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Ensure no laundry is trapped between the door and frame and that the door clicks when closing.
  • Inspect door latch hook: Examine the metal or plastic latch on the door of your Teka dryer for cracks or bending. If damaged, it must be replaced.
  • Test door switch: With power disconnected, remove the top cover (usually rear screws) and access the door switch area. Disconnect the switch connector and test continuity with a multimeter while pressing the switch. Replace the door switch if it does not change state.
  • Check wiring harness: Inspect the wiring from the door switch to the main control module for loose connectors, burnt pins, or broken wires. Reseat all connectors firmly.
  • Reset power: After checks, reconnect power and try a short program. If E01 persists after replacing the door switch and confirming wiring, the main control board may be faulty and should be diagnosed or replaced by a qualified technician.
