Possible Causes
Open heating element, Tripped high-limit thermostat, Faulty NTC temperature sensor on heater housing, Burnt heater wiring or connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool completely before working near the heater assembly.
- Clean filters and airflow path: Remove and clean the lint filter and, if fitted, the condenser unit (for Teka condenser/heat pump models). Blocked airflow can overheat the heater and trigger E03.
- Access heater assembly: On many Teka dryers, the heater is located behind the rear panel. Remove the rear panel screws and carefully pull the panel away to expose the heater housing.
- Inspect wiring: Check the heater terminals and wiring harness for signs of burning, loose connectors, or melted insulation. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Test heating element: Disconnect the heater terminals and measure resistance across the element with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed heater that must be replaced.
- Check thermostats and NTC: Locate the high-limit thermostat and NTC sensor on the heater housing. Test for continuity on thermostats and appropriate resistance on the NTC (compare to service data if available). Replace any open or shorted components.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the rear panel, reconnect power, and run a warm program. If E03 returns after heater and sensor replacement, the main control board heater relay may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
