Possible Causes

Defective NTC sensor on air duct, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty main control board sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any covers. Components may be hot immediately after use.

  • Clean lint and airflow paths: Excess lint can cause abnormal temperature readings. Clean the lint filter, condenser (if fitted), and air ducts accessible from the front and rear.
  • Locate NTC sensor: On many Teka dryers, the NTC is mounted on the front or rear air duct or on the heater housing. Remove the relevant panel to access it.
  • Inspect connector and wiring: Gently unplug the NTC connector, check for corrosion or bent pins, and reseat it firmly. Follow the wiring back to the control board and ensure there are no cuts or burns.
  • Test NTC resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure its resistance at room temperature and compare with typical values (often 5–20 kΩ depending on model). If it reads open, shorted, or far out of range, replace the NTC sensor.
  • Reassemble and test: After replacing the NTC, reassemble panels, reconnect power, and run a warm program. If E05 remains, the control board may not be interpreting the sensor correctly and may require replacement.
