Possible Causes
Broken or slipping drive belt, Worn drum support rollers or bearings, Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing panels. Beware of sharp metal edges.
- Check drum rotation by hand: With the door open and dryer unplugged, rotate the drum. If it is very loose, noisy, or does not turn, there may be a belt or bearing issue.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the top and rear panels to view the belt. If the belt is broken, off the pulley, or heavily worn, replace it with the correct Teka belt.
- Examine drum supports: Inspect rear drum bearing and front felt seals or rollers (depending on model) for wear or damage. Replace worn rollers or bearings to ensure smooth rotation.
- Check motor tacho and wiring: On some Teka dryers, the motor has a tachometer coil or sensor. Ensure its connector is firmly attached and wiring is intact. If the tacho is open-circuit, the motor assembly may need replacement.
- Test operation: After replacing mechanical parts, reassemble and run a test cycle. If E06 persists with correct drum rotation, the main control board may not be receiving tacho feedback and should be checked by a technician.
