Possible Causes
Blocked lint filter or condenser, Obstructed exhaust duct (vented models), Failed or stuck high-limit thermostat, Faulty blower fan or fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool fully. Do not operate the dryer if it smells of burning.
- Clean lint filter and condenser: Remove the lint filter and clean thoroughly. On condenser and heat pump Teka dryers, remove the condenser unit and rinse it under running water to clear lint.
- Check exhaust duct (vented models): Inspect the vent hose and wall outlet for kinks, crushed sections, or lint buildup. Clean or replace the hose if blocked.
- Inspect blower fan: Access the blower housing (usually from the front or rear). Ensure the fan wheel is not clogged with lint and can spin freely on the motor shaft.
- Reset or replace safety thermostat: Some Teka dryers have a manual-reset thermostat on the heater housing. Press the small reset button if present. If the thermostat has no reset or trips repeatedly, replace it.
- Test run: After cleaning and replacing any faulty parts, run a short cycle while monitoring temperature. If E07 recurs, the control board or temperature sensing system may be misregulating heat and should be checked professionally.
