Possible Causes
Leaking condensate hose or connection, Cracked water tank or pump housing, Blocked drain causing overflow, Activated base tray float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer immediately if you suspect a leak. Water near electrical parts is dangerous.
- Check for visible leaks: Pull the dryer slightly forward and inspect underneath and around the base for water.
- Empty base tray: Some Teka dryers have a base tray with a float switch. Carefully tilt the dryer slightly backward (with assistance) to drain water from the front edge onto towels, or remove the base panel if designed for access.
- Inspect hoses and tank: Remove the water tank and inspect for cracks. Check internal rubber hoses from the condenser to the pump and from the pump to the tank for splits or loose clamps.
- Clean drain channels: Clear lint and debris from the drain channel under the condenser and from the pump inlet.
- Reset float switch: Once the base is dry, the float switch should drop back to normal. Reassemble and test. If E10 recurs and you see new water, locate and replace the leaking component (hose, tank, pump housing). Persistent leaks should be addressed by a technician.
