Possible Causes
Tripped breaker, Unplugged or faulty power cord, Open thermal fuse, Failed main control board (less common)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off the breaker before inspecting the terminal block. 240 VAC is hazardous.
- Check power source: Verify the dryer is plugged in and the breaker is on. Test the outlet with another appliance or a multimeter.
- Inspect power cord and terminal block: Remove the rear cover and check for loose or burnt connections. Replace damaged cords or terminal blocks.
- Test thermal fuse: Unplug the dryer, locate the thermal fuse on the blower housing, and test for continuity. Replace if open and correct any airflow issues.
- Control board: If power is present at the terminal block and thermal fuse is good but the dryer is still dead, the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
