Momentary power outage, Loose power cord at terminal block, Tripped breaker, Faulty outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off the breaker before inspecting the terminal block.
- Clear code: Press any key or hold the Start/Pause button (depending on model) to clear the PF code and attempt to restart the cycle.
- Check breaker: Ensure the dryer breaker is fully on. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect power cord: Remove the rear terminal block cover and verify all three (or four) cord connections are tight and not burnt.
- Outlet test: Use a multimeter to verify correct voltage at the outlet. Replace a loose or damaged receptacle.
- Monitor for recurrence: If PF appears frequently, have an electrician check the home circuit for loose connections or voltage drops.
