Display lights up but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety first: Unplug the smoker before removing the control panel.

Steps to repair:

• Dry the panel: If the smoker has been cleaned with excessive water or exposed to rain, allow the control panel to dry thoroughly. Do not use high heat directly on the panel.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control box cover and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the main board. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged.
• Clean contacts: If accessible, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reinsert.
• Replace keypad or control box: If specific buttons never work or require very hard presses, the membrane keypad is likely worn. Replace the keypad overlay or the entire control box assembly, depending on how Bradley supplies the part.
