Possible Causes
Burner plate not reaching proper temperature, Excessive airflow through vent, Wet or improperly stored bisquettes, Burner plate contaminated with ash
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use gloves when handling the hot burner plate or bisquettes.
Steps to increase smoke:
- Check burner plate: Ensure the bisquette burner plate in the smoke generator is clean and free of heavy ash. Gently scrape off buildup when cool.
- Verify burner heating: During operation, carefully feel near (not on) the burner plate to confirm it is getting hot. If not, the burner element may be failing and should be replaced.
- Adjust vent: Partially close the top vent to retain more smoke while still allowing moisture to escape.
- Use dry bisquettes: Store Bradley bisquettes in a dry place. Discard any that are swollen or soft.
