Bradley Smoker
Temperature Sensing / Calibration Error
Temperature reading on display is inaccurate compared to an oven thermometer.

Possible Causes
Aging or contaminated RTD sensor, Sensor not in correct airflow, Loose sensor connection, Control board calibration drift
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker and let it cool before touching the sensor.
Correction steps:
- Verify with a known thermometer: Place a quality oven thermometer at mid‑rack level and compare readings at several setpoints.
- Inspect sensor location: Ensure the Bradley temperature sensor probe is not blocked by foil, racks, or food and is not touching metal surfaces directly.
- Clean sensor: Gently wipe the sensor probe with a damp cloth to remove heavy smoke residue, then dry completely.
- Check connections: Reseat the sensor connector at the rear of the cabinet and at the control board.
- Replace sensor: If the display remains consistently off by a large margin, replace the RTD sensor probe. If inaccuracy persists, the control board may require replacement.
