Safety first: Let the water pan cool before handling; hot metal can cause burns.

• Maintain water level: Keep some water in the Char‑Broil pan during long cooks to reduce thermal stress. Do not let it run completely dry.
• Verify correct placement: Ensure the pan is installed in the designated supports and not resting directly on the heating element.
• Replace warped pan: If the pan no longer sits flat or rocks in its supports, replace it with an OEM water pan to ensure proper fit and function.
