• Inspect probe cable: Look for kinks, cuts, or melted sections. Replace the probe if damaged.
• Clean probe: Wash the metal probe tip with warm soapy water, avoiding submerging the cable connection. Dry thoroughly.
• Check jack: Ensure the probe plug is fully inserted into the control panel jack.
• Test with boiling water: Place the probe tip in boiling water; it should read near 212°F (100°C). If readings are far off, replace the probe.
