How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the smoker before touching the sensor.
Steps:
- Place a reliable oven thermometer in the center of the smoker and run to a known setpoint; compare readings.
- Clean the temperature sensor probe gently to remove grease and soot.
- Ensure the sensor is firmly mounted and not loose in its bracket.
- If readings remain significantly off, replace the cooking chamber temperature sensor with a GE-compatible part.
