Display shows temperature but it is clearly inaccurate compared to an oven thermometer.

Steps:

• Place a reliable oven thermometer in the center of the smoker and run to a known setpoint; compare readings.
• Clean the temperature sensor probe gently to remove grease and soot.
• Ensure the sensor is firmly mounted and not loose in its bracket.
• If readings remain significantly off, replace the cooking chamber temperature sensor with a GE-compatible part.
