How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker before accessing internal electronics.
Steps:
- Perform a power cycle by unplugging the smoker for 5 minutes, then plugging it back in and attempting to reconnect via the GE smart app.
- If E14 persists, remove the control panel and locate the Wi-Fi or communication module (often a small daughterboard connected via ribbon cable).
- Reseat the communication cable between the Wi-Fi module and main control board.
- Inspect the module for visible damage or corrosion.
- If available, update firmware through the app or via USB according to GE instructions.
If the Wi-Fi module remains non-functional, it or the main control board may require replacement by an authorized service provider.
