• Remove the rear or bottom access panel to locate the power cord terminal block inside the smoker.
• Verify that all terminal screws are tight and that there is no sign of heat damage or charring.
• Inspect the wiring from the terminal block to the control board for loose connectors.
• If you have a multimeter and are comfortable working with electricity, verify that full line voltage reaches the control board input when the unit is powered (only perform live tests if you are qualified; otherwise, stop and call a technician).

If E5 persists after confirming proper supply and connections, the internal power supply section of the control board is likely faulty and the board should be replaced by a professional.
