Possible Causes
Worn or compressed door gasket, Warped door, Loose cabinet screws or seams, Misadjusted door latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use heat-resistant gloves when checking for leaks during operation.
Steps:
- With the smoker running, carefully observe where smoke is escaping. Do not place hands near hot surfaces.
- After cooling and unplugging, inspect the door gasket for flat spots, cracks, or missing sections. Replace with a GE Profile-compatible gasket if damaged.
- Check door hinges and latch for play; tighten mounting screws and adjust latch tension so the door pulls firmly against the gasket.
- Inspect cabinet seams and screws; tighten any loose fasteners and reseal gaps with high-temperature sealant if recommended by GE.
