Possible Causes
Burned-out heating element, Open thermal fuse, Loose heater wiring at element or control board, Failed heater relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker and allow it to cool completely.
Steps:
- Visually inspect the heating element inside the chamber for cracks or breaks.
- Access the rear panel to reach the element terminals and heater wiring.
- Check for loose or burned connectors and repair as needed.
- Test the element with a multimeter for continuity; replace if open.
- Locate any inline thermal fuse in the heater circuit and test for continuity. Replace only with the exact GE-specified part if open.
If the element and fuse are good, the heater relay or control board is suspect and may require replacement.
