Smoker produces very little or no smoke even though temperature is correct.

Safety first: Unplug and cool the smoker before handling the smoke generator.

Steps:

• Remove the wood chip tray and clean out ash and debris. Ensure air holes are not blocked.
• Use dry, properly sized wood chips recommended by GE; avoid soaked chips or large chunks that can smother the element.
• Verify the chip tray is fully seated in the smoke generator housing as per the manual.
• Access the smoke generator heating element (if separate from main element) and inspect for damage or heavy scale. Test for continuity and replace if open.
