Possible Causes
Clogged drain channel, Missing or misaligned drip pan, Excessive liquid in water pan, Cabinet seams not sealed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the smoker to cool before cleaning grease or removing pans.
- Check drip pan: Ensure the drip pan is installed in the correct position and is not overfilled. Empty and clean it regularly.
- Clean drain channels: Locate any drain holes or channels at the bottom of the cabinet and clear them of grease and debris using a small brush or pipe cleaner.
- Manage water pan: Do not overfill the water pan. Fill only to the indicated level to prevent boiling over.
- Inspect cabinet seams: Look for gaps or separated seams inside the cabinet. Seal minor gaps with high-temperature food-safe sealant if recommended by GE, or contact service for structural issues.
