How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the control panel.
Steps:
- Clean the panel surface: Wipe the touch area with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the front panel for cracks or warping that could affect touch sensitivity.
- Open the control housing: Remove screws securing the control panel and gently pull it forward to access the touch panel ribbon cable.
- Reseat the ribbon cable: Unplug and reinsert the ribbon cable between the touch panel and the control board. Ensure it is straight and fully inserted.
- Replace touch panel: If E9 persists and certain buttons never respond, replace the touch control panel or the entire control assembly as specified by Klarstein.
