• Clean the panel surface: Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use excessive liquid that can seep behind the overlay.
• Access the keypad connections: Remove the screws holding the control panel and gently pull it forward. Locate the ribbon cable from the keypad to the main board.
• Reseat the ribbon cable: Carefully unplug and reinsert the cable, ensuring it is straight and fully seated.
• Inspect for corrosion or cracks: If the keypad overlay is bubbled, cracked, or the PCB is broken, replace the entire control panel/keypad assembly.
• Test all buttons: After reassembly, power on and test each button to confirm reliable operation.
