• Reseat connectors: Carefully unplug and replug the ribbon cable, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
• Check for physical damage: If the keypad overlay is cracked or the PCB is visibly damaged, replace the entire control panel assembly.
• Test operation: Reassemble the panel, restore power, and test all buttons and functions to confirm E6 is cleared.

When to replace: If E6 persists despite good connections and no visible damage, the keypad or display PCB is likely internally faulty and should be replaced as a unit.
