Display shows “Err6” and remote or WiFi functions do not work while basic heating may still function.

Safety first: Unplug the smoker before removing any covers.

• Power cycle: Unplug the smoker for 5 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to reconnect the app or remote.
• Check antenna and module: Locate the WiFi/Bluetooth module (often behind the control panel). Ensure the antenna wire is connected and not pinched or broken.
• Inspect communication cable: Verify the small harness between the main control board and wireless module is fully seated at both ends.
• App reset: Remove the smoker from the Masterbuilt app, then re-add it following the pairing instructions. Ensure your phone is on a compatible WiFi band if required.
• Replace wireless module: If Err6 persists and wiring is intact, the wireless module may be defective and should be replaced as a unit.
