Possible Causes
Moisture on control PCB, Condensation in wiring connectors, Water intrusion from aggressive cleaning, Damaged gasket allowing steam into control cavity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the smoker. Do not operate if water is suspected inside electrical compartments.
- Drying period: Leave the smoker unplugged in a warm, dry area for 24–48 hours to allow internal moisture to evaporate.
- Inspect control cavity: Remove the control panel or rear cover to check for visible moisture, corrosion, or water trails. Gently blot any damp areas with a lint-free cloth.
- Connector care: Disconnect and reconnect low-voltage connectors to help clear light oxidation. Do not use excessive force.
- Check door and panel gaskets: Inspect seals around the door and control panel. Replace any torn or flattened gaskets that could allow steam into the electronics.
- Test operation: After thorough drying and reassembly, plug in and test. If E11 persists, the control board may have sustained moisture damage and require replacement.
