Possible Causes
Overfilled water pan, clogged grease drain channel, missing or misaligned drip pan, rust holes in cabinet floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the smoker to cool before handling pans or drip trays.
- Check water pan level: Do not overfill the water pan; keep below the maximum fill line. Remove excess water if necessary.
- Inspect drip pan: Ensure the drip pan is installed correctly and not warped. Replace the drip pan if it is damaged or missing.
- Clean drain channel: Locate the grease drain hole or channel and clear any blockage with a pipe cleaner or small brush.
- Check for rust holes: Inspect the bottom of the cabinet for rust-through. Small holes can be patched with high-temperature sealant; severe rust may require cabinet replacement.
