Door latch is loose or will not keep the door closed tightly.

Safety first: Ensure the smoker is cool before adjusting the latch.

• Tighten screws: Use a screwdriver to tighten the latch and catch mounting screws on the door and cabinet.
• Adjust latch position: Loosen the catch plate screws and adjust its position so the latch engages firmly when closed.
• Inspect for wear: If the latch hook is rounded or bent, replace the latch assembly with an OEM Smokehouse door latch.
• Verify seal: After adjustment, check that the door gasket compresses evenly all around.
