Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed power switch, Damaged power cord, Tripped GFCI outlet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the smoker before any disassembly. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, contact a technician.

  • Verify outlet: Plug a lamp or other appliance into the same outlet to confirm it has power. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
  • Inspect power cord: Check the entire length of the cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. Replace the cord if damaged.
  • Check power switch: If your Smokehouse model has a rocker or toggle switch, ensure it clicks firmly. Access the back of the switch and test continuity with a multimeter when switched ON. Replace if open.
  • Inspect internal fuse: Remove the control housing and locate the inline or board-mounted fuse. Test continuity; if blown, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a short that must be diagnosed before further use.
